This master bedroom was completely transformed by utilising what was already there, and bringing in more design elements. Namely: We wallpapered the main fireplace wall. This brought in more detail and colour into the space. We swapped out the old, ineffective fan for a brand new light fitting. The chandelier adds a touch of glamour to the bedroom. The drab fireplace had new natural cladding added to it, which livened it up and made it a focal point. By bringing in some indoor plants, we were able to add life into the space, as well as greenery for pops of colour.
.
The sad and sagging curtains were replaced with automated blockout and sheer curtains. This makes it incredibly easy for the clients to open the large span of curtaining. We added in some brightly coloured scatter cushions for pops of colour into the space, as well as a reading corner. Another tip we use to brighten up and modernise spaces is to paint the cabinetry. We gave the cabinetry in this bedroom a facelift by painting the doors white. This is a simple, yet effective way to lighten your space. The reading nook will be perfect to sit and sip a cup of coffee next to the roaring fireplace. What a dream!
