About the Space

This master bedroom was very dated and tired. We needed to maximise the space and provide the perfect angle and tranquil surrounding to view the ocean. We completely stripped the room and added in a half height wall. This would become the dividing section between the sleeping area and the tea/coffee station. The half height was provided a place to anchor the bed onto, without disrupting the beautiful views from the dressing room. We added in a custom tea/coffee station along with dressing table. The full height mirror helps bring in light into the space. We also added in a wall nib to introduce some built in shelving. These shelves are so useful in providing storage space and are beautiful too.

The oak flooring completely lightens up the space, whilst adding a bit of contrast. We added in a small seating area in front of the bed to provide a place to sit and enjoy the view. The colour palette we stuck to was mainly neutrals, with a few pops of blue. This makes for a calm and tranquil setting. Another trick we used to minimise the budget was to have the cupboard doors resprayed. We added in some new handles, and this made them look brand new.
