What we design

Interior design for homes, hotels and lodges in Rwanda

Early involvement allows us to thoughtfully integrate lighting, plumbing and bespoke cabinetry into the overall design, helping to minimise costly changes during construction. However, we also welcome projects already underway, tailoring our services to the stage of your build. We work closely with your architect, contractor and local consultants to create a cohesive, considered interior.

Hotels, lodges and guesthouses

Rwanda’s hospitality sector is growing, from boutique hotels in Kigali to lodges near Volcanoes and Akagera. We offer interior design and FF&E (furniture, fixtures and equipment) specification, with the same technical drawings and procurement support as our residential work.

Residential developments

For developers, we design show units, apartment ranges and shared spaces with one consistent specification that repeats across a development. Clear drawings and finish schedules give your contractor a single reference.

Corporate offices

We design refined, functional offices and boardrooms that reflect your business’s identity and support the way your team works. Our services encompass space planning, finishes, bespoke joinery, furniture and lighting, supported by detailed drawings for accurate costing and installation.

Private residences

We create thoughtfully considered homes that reflect the people who live in them, balancing beautiful design with everyday comfort and functionality. From new builds to renovations, our services encompass space planning, finishes, bespoke cabinetry, furniture and lighting, bringing each element together to create a cohesive, personal interior.

FAQ

Questions from clients in Rwanda

Do you have an office in Rwanda?

No. Our studio is in Kloof, South Africa, and we design from there. Kirsty visits Kigali for consultations and key site meetings, and we work with your architect and contractor on the ground. Many clients also use South African architects, and we work with them too.

Have you completed a project in Rwanda?

Not yet. We are building our Rwanda portfolio. We have completed work across South Africa and have run projects remotely in London and the Seychelles.

What size of project do you take on?

Complete homes, developments and hospitality projects where the interiors scope justifies the planning and site visits. Budget is discussed in a private first consultation.

How often will you be on site?

This is agreed in the proposal, usually at first consultation, setting out, finishes and handover.

Can you source furniture and finishes?

Yes. We choose the best route per item. Some pieces are bought in Rwanda, others are made in South Africa and shipped. Import duties and VAT are planned for from the start.

Do you work with architects and contractors?

Yes, and we prefer to. Your architect leads the building and we lead the interior, giving drawings to your contractor. That includes South African architects as well as local ones.

How do you charge?

We start with a paid consultation and a written proposal. New builds are usually charged as a monthly retainer for the length of the build.

Can you work with clients who live abroad?

Yes. Remote working is how we ran our projects in London and the Seychelles.
